What's New?
Dashboard Updates
The Dashboard has been updated to show more information and include better filtering, moving to a tabbed style to allow for easier navigation of all of the data.
Depending on the features and terminology used by your company you will see some, or all, of the following tabs:
- Competency Cycles
- Incidents & Support Plans
- Training & Development
- Route / Traction / Skills
- Medicals
- Licences
Some general updates we have made across all of the Dashboard tabs include:
- Removal of the 'Due' tile - this tile has resulted in a lot of questions and confusion from users, due to its ambiguous nature. The 'Due' tile has been replaced with a '90-day' tile, for any company who didn't already have one in their stat blocks.
- Configuration options for date-range stat blocks - The stat blocks at the top of every tab, which display tiles with decreasing day-ranges, are all configurable per company.
- If you would like any of these to be configured differently, please contact your account manager or the Support Team.
- Filter sidebar - The single select 'Team' drop-down from the old dashboard has been replaced with a large list of filter options, to be applied across the whole Dashboard. More details below.
- Export functionality - The drill-down pages behind all of the Dashboard stats now include an 'Export' button so that you can download a .csv of the table you are viewing.
Competency Cycles Tab
This is the first tab you will see by default when the Dashboard is opened.
You will still see the statistics of Assessments which are due for your Team(s), and the new Competency Cycles stat block will now allow you to identify any employees whose Cycles should have been ended, or any which should have been started on a new Cycle.
Verifiers will now see a count of Assessments which are available for Verification, rather than needing to rely solely on the Assessment History page.
Incidents & Support Plans Tab
Support Plan Interactions and Assessments have been split out into their own stat blocks, so that you can easily see what is needed.
The Support Plans and Incidents stat blocks at the bottom of this tab give you a good summary for your team, and allow you to follow up on any Support Plans which should have been closed, or any Incidents which should have been associated with a Support Plan.
Similar to the Competency Cycles tab, Verifiers will now see a count of Support Plans which are available for Verification, which is something that was historically difficult to see at team level.
Training & Development Tab
Only displayed to companies using the Training & Development feature. This tab will give you an overview of both Training Courses expiring, and will also include a new view of any courses which are planned in advance.
Route / Traction / Skill
Depending on your company set-up, the display of this tab may vary, for example, your company may not use Traction or Skills, or your Routes may be renamed.
The stat blocks on this tab include an 'All' tile, so that you can get a wholistic view of all Route, Traction, or Skill competencies held by your Team(s), regardless of whether they are expiring within the timeframe of your tiles.
Medicals
The Medical Expiry & Review tiles have not been changed, but we have now included a stat block of the Medical Statuses of your Team(s).
Licences
If your company does not use the Licence features of EDS then this tab will be hidden.
For any companies who are using Licences, this stat block will track the expiry date of the licences you input for your users via the Complementary Certificate application feature.
Filtering
As mentioned above, the dashboard now includes an extensive set of filters via the filter sidebar, all of which are multi-select. The list of filter options include:
- Team
- Job Title
- Company Role
- Competency Cycle
- Department
- Base Location
- Authority To Work
We received a lot of negative feedback around employees with a Temporarily Suspended Authority To Work being filtered out of the Dashboard in the background, so we have removed that background filter, and added it to the list of filter options available to you.
When any filters are applied to the Dashboard, you will see a count of the fields being filtered. This also acts as a quick action button to remove all filters.
Employee Search Updates
The Employee Search page has also been updated to show more information and include better filtering.
By default, when opening the Employee Search page, you will see the following columns in the table:
- Employee Reference
- Employee Name
- Company Role(s)
- Competency Cycle(s)
- Support Level
- Authority To Work
- Team(s)
- Department
There is a new Customisable Columns button, which gives you the ability to show/hide any of the columns mentioned above, as well as the following additional columns:
- Job Title
- Base Location
- System Role
The Employee Search page includes the same filter capabilities as the Dashboard, but also includes 2 additional fields in the sidebar for Support Level and System Role, as well as allowing you to filter directly in the table by Employee Reference or Name.
Bug Fixes
Bug: Zendesk Ref: 140260 - Complementary Certificates for deleted users are causing the Licences section to error.
Fix: Complementary Certificates will be deleted when a user is deleted.
