What's New?
Evidence Library Updates: UI Upgrade
We have updated the UI of the Evidence Library to use our latest UI technology version, and to align with the new style of other pages in EDS. Some key things to note in the UI update:
All filter options have now been moved into the filter sidebar, which is accessed by clicking the Filter button in the top-left corner of the page.
- The preview function for image type Evidence now works in the same way that it does on the Completed Assessment page - Clicking on the thumbnail will open the image in full screen preview, without the need to download the file first.
The checkboxes for selecting Suggested Criteria in the Upload Evidence modal now function as hierarchical selection - Selecting an Element will mark all the Criteria in that Element as selected, and will show the related Unit as partially selected.
- Evidence archived via the Evidence Library will now be displayed in the Evidence Library Archive, meaning that the only statuses available for Evidence in the main page will be "Rated" or "Not Rated".
Evidence Library Updates: Evidence Library Archive
We have implemented an archive page for an employee's Evidence Library, which is accessed via the Employee Profile button drop-down in the top-right corner of the main Evidence Library page.
The Archive page looks and works very similarly to the main Evidence Library page, with some of the key differences being:
- The Archive page will only show archived Evidence for the currently active Cycles, and all Evidence from ended Cycles.
- Any archived evidence from a currently active Cycle will include a Restore from Archive button
A Cycle filter is included, and shows all Cycles the employee has been on for the selected Company Role
Evidence Library Updates: Text Based Evidence
It is now possible to upload Text Evidence via the Upload Evidence modal in the Evidence Library, which can be a good way to encourage your employees to log into EDS, upload their own Evidence and manage their own competency.
The Upload Evidence modal now includes a radio button to choose between uploading one or more Evidence Files, or inputting some Text Evidence. Please note that you cannot do both within the same upload. Other than this change to the Evidence tab, the rest of the Evidence upload process remains unchanged.
Once you have finished inputting and saved your Text Evidence, it is stored as a .txt file, to ensure that it cannot be tampered with after creation.
It is then possible to preview your Text Evidence via the Evidence Library, in the same way you would do with image files, by clicking the thumbnail and opening in full screen.
Rename of Incident Categories to Incident Types
When it was first implemented, the admin page for managing your list of available Incident Types, was called Incident Categories. For consistency across the system, we have updated this to be Incident Types.
