What's New?
Competency Cycle Admin Management - Copy Cycle
The updated version of the Competency Cycle Admin Management page includes a Copy function for your Competency Cycles, allowing you to use existing Cycles as a template for a new version.
Competency Cycle Admin Management - Archive Cycle
Trying to archive a Competency Cycle in the current version of EDS can be frustrating, as the system would block you from archiving any Competency Cycles which are currently assigned to 1 or more employees, regardless of whether the Cycles are actually active or not.
This updated version will allow your Admins to archive any Competency Cycle, even if they are currently in use.
Here's what will happen if you archive a Cycle which is currently in use:
Anyone who doesn't currently have the Cycle selected - will not see an option to select the Cycle
Anyone currently on an active version of the Cycle - will be able to continue with the Cycle as normal
Anyone who has the Cycle selected, but not started - will not be able to start the Cycle
Your Admins will also be able to restore Cycles from archive so that they can be used again, if necessary.
Employee Profile Updates - General Page Updates
The entire Employee Profile page has now been updated to the newer user interface technology and styling.
Some key changes to note in the updated version are:
- The 'Delete' button (only available to TOC Admin users) now sits in the drop-down under the 'Edit User' button
- The display will now be edge-to-edge on your screen, regardless of your screen resolution and browser zoom
- The 'Start Cycle' button will only appear if the user has 1 or more Company Roles without active Competency Cycles
You can now select a different Competency Cycle from the Start Cycle modal, rather than needing to navigate to the Manage Company Roles & Competency Cycles page
Employee Profile Updates - Key Dates Grid
The Key Dates Grid on the Employee Profile has had a major update, focusing on making it easier to see and manage the Company Roles and Competency Cycles associated with your employees. Some of the key features of the new version are outlined below.
Colour Coding
All of the Assessment Type colour coding has been removed. The new version aims to highlight any overdue Assessments by displaying them in red, while keeping the rest of the items in the grid in a standard blue colour palette.
Window Size & Zoom Out Button
Now that the Employee Profile is using the full width of the screen, it also allows us to display a larger version of the Key Dates Grid. There is still some element of vertical scrolling for larger Cycles, or multiple Company Roles, but you should now be able to see far more of your Assessments at once.
We have also included the Zoom Out/In functions, which will allow you to zoom out to see multiple years at once, or zoom back in to see the standard version with more wording available.
Improved Filtering
You can now view the Assessments and Interactions for multiple Company Roles at once, or filter down to a specific Role if needed.
The Assessment Type filter will allow you to select individual Assessment or Support Plan Interaction Types, or you can quickly select all Support Plan Types if you want to view everything relating to Support Plans.
The Assessment Status filter could allow a Verifier to filter down to view all Completed Assessments which have not yet been Verified.
There is also an Overdue Items quick-filter, which will display a count of overdue items and turn red if there are any. Clicking this button will remove all other filters and show all overdue items for all the user's Company Roles.
Use of Iconography
There are a number of icons used to identify the states of an Assessment or Interaction. There is a key included to explain the meaning of the icons for new users.
Late/Overdue Day Counts
If an Assessment or Interaction is overdue, then a count of the days overdue will be included in the Assessment title column.
The same will be done for an Assessment or Interaction which is completed late.
Tooltips
Tooltips have been updated to include a lot more information, so that you can get more of the information that you need, without needing to dive into each Assessment or Interaction.
Auto-scroll
When you open the Employee Profile, the Key Dates Grid will always automatically scroll to the earliest incomplete Assessment or Interaction.
